About This Place

If you're in the charming town of Quincinetto, Italy, and seeking an authentic culinary experience, look no further than Da Marino - Via Montellina. Nestled on Via Montellina, this trattoria is more than just a restaurant; it’s a delightful journey into the heart of traditional Piedmontese cuisine. With a reputation for serving homemade dishes that awaken all your senses, Da Marino promises a dining adventure that keeps you coming back for more.

One of the standout features of Da Marino is its commitment to authenticity; you won't find a menu here. Instead, guests are treated to a captivating array of seasonal offerings that reflect the vibrant flavors of the region. Patrons have raved about the grilled porcini mushrooms and the rich pasta with fungi, which showcase the chef's dedication to quality and fresh, local ingredients. As reported by one satisfied diner, the rack of lamb paired beautifully with a curated selection of local wines, particularly the exquisite Carema.

The convivial atmosphere is punctuated by the warmth of the staff, who embody Italian hospitality at its finest. Friendly and attentive, they are happy to guide you through the selections of the day—perfect for those not quite sure what to expect. But be mindful of your budget; as several reviewers have noted, the prices reflect the quality, so it’s wise to inquire about costs before indulging in a multi-course feast. A meal for two can easily reach €49, and guests often agree it's worth every cent.

Visiting Da Marino is about more than just the food; it's about the entire experience. Diners are often enchanted by the stunning views that accompany their meal, further enhancing the ambiance of this hidden gem. Whether you're savoring a lovely baked savoy cabbage or stepping out of your comfort zone with a dish like trippa alla Fiorentina, each bite is a testament to the culinary heritage of Piedmont.

As you leave, you won’t just remember the flavors of the food; you'll cherish the entire experience—an exhilarating dive into the heart of Italy's gastronomic culture. Da Marino is a treat for the senses and a must-visit destination for anyone passionate about authentic Italian cuisine. Make sure to take a moment to soak in the environment, and, as Beryl Kostverloren advised, don’t hesitate to ask for a slower pace if you wish to savor your dining experience even further.

Very good homemade food, first it’s very exciting to be in an authentic trattoria but be careful If you have a short budget you can have a surprise when it’s time to pay. No menu, so better ask prices upfront. Price are not cheap but good value for money. We spent a good time there. To have an idea we had lunch for 2 : - 2 starter (grilled vegetables) - 2 first course (pasta fungi) - 1 coke / 1 jug of tape water - 2 coffee 49€

Nice view, good local homemade food, no menu. The waiter was very friendly. High pace so when you want more time between the corses, ask it friendly.

Lovely trattoria with great homemade food from the Piedmont region. Try the baked savoy-cabbage, it tastes great!

We had dinner at Da Marino and were pleasantly impressed by the quality and taste of the dishes. Service was excellent. We enjoyed the grilled fresh porcini mushrooms so much that we ordered the pasta course with porcini mushrooms, too. The main course was a rack of lamb and dessert was apple meringue cake. They have a curated wine list. The local Carema wine proved to be an excellent choice. We will definitely return.

Every once in a while, we stumble upon a really outstanding restaurant in Italy. It is usually way out in the boondocks or in a tiny little village, and usually nobody we know has ever heard of it. Today we drove from Courmayeur (Aosta)down to Torino and we stopped halfway in a little town called Quincinetto. The restaurant is Da Marino. Just the antipasto alone is incredibly impressive and would be enough but we went all out because we realized how good everything would be. Pasta with porcini mushrooms. Vitello tonnato. Battuta. And ….. trippa ala Fiorentina. I have always been too scared to try tripe but I knew that if I was ever going to do it that this was the place. It was delicious. Also the house red wine was the best Nebbiolo (local of course) that I have ever had. Also excellent Prosecco.

It's like entering a big family dinner: big portions, prepared at the table, with cuisine like home. Do not expect anything fancy, just come here if you want to enjoy food and wine at great prices
